I would generally agree with the views on this review. The turnaround comes it a little too easily. You can tell that it has a little bit of ‘hollywood’ in the story. All she does is buy them new books and take them on a field trip and they all of sudden think that she is a pretty good teacher. If the students were as bad as they made them out to be in the beginning of the movie, it would take an awful lot to get them to start behaving,doing homework, and getting good test scores. The movie also came out at the same time as a lot of other ‘feel good stories.’ It also is like a lot of movies that came before it like The Ron Clark Story. It was almost IDENTICAL. Mr. Clark turns these bad kids into all of a sudden good kids in a short period of time. The movie was not as good as it was made out to be.
